Increasing the Hatchabillity of Ostrich Eggs
Publication no: 97-024
Pages: 71
This report is part of an ongoing attempt to understand and possibly control the role of a virus in a disease which kills ostrich chicks. While the report does not reach firm conclusions, the researchers have added substantially to the knowledge in this area and to possible directions for future study.
However, they do suggest that the virus is not overly pathogenic or that it is capable of producing the disease on its owo. Others factors are obviously involved. More research is being conducted to quickly determine if an ostrich is infected with the virus.
