Abstract-The book summarizes current knowledge
of the reproductive endocrinology of fish, and
applies this knowledge to a practical end: manipulation
of reproduction in captive fish that are grown for food.
The book is written in a deliberately "nonacademic"
style and covers a wide range of topics including breeding,
manipulation of the environment to induce breeding,
conservation offish genetic resources, and
techniques used for marking and tagging broodstock.
