Marine Ornamental Species: Collection, Culture and Conservation
By James C. Cato, Christopher L. Brown
Description
This volume consists of a collection of 28 chapters resulting from papers presented at the Marine Ornamentals 2001: Collection, Culture and Conservation conference, in keeping with the goal of documenting the status of the marine
ornamental fish and invertebrate trade. The chapters are written by some of the invited keynote speakers and by some of the speakers who submitted contributed papers. The perspectives are mixed and include representative contributions from researchers, economists, and various industry stakeholders. It is the intent of the editors that this will serve as a snapshot of
the status of issues in the marine ornamentals world, which we consider to be something of an action shot. It is a rapidly changing industry with fast-moving elements.
