Reducing PDF file sizes

In Adobe Acrobat Professional (6 or 7):
 1. Open PDF file.
 2. Select 'File' > 'Reduce File Size' from the menu.
 3. Click 'OK'.
 4. Give the new file a name and click 'Save'.
Depending on the original file size this process can reduce a PDF file's size by over 100 times. We have tested this on a 7-page 250MB PDF file that was created in an on campus lab after being scanned in at 600 DPI (dots per inch). The resulting PDF file was less than 2 MB. Performing this on any and all PDFs will greatly increase the amount of time students spend reading material versus waiting for material.

Is there any way to reduce size of file without adobe professional?

I Tested, if Your PDF FILE Is SCAN, Not Be Useful This Program!
But IF Your File Is Text ,This PROG Is very good Work
