This video shows a dog sleeping, then exhibiting rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder. Normally, muscle movements are blocked or negated during sleep. In affected dogs, an abnormality in the pons dream neural transmissions allows muscle movement initiation to continue to the limbs, resulting in violent motor activity.
