Description

This book explores some of the recent advances in veterinary knowledge, and also provides information about animal and-its necessary adjunct for our purposes human behavior; much of this behavioral material comes from my own research on cats, dogs, wolves, foxes, and other carnivores. I have set it out here to help pet owners improve their relationships with their pets-understanding, after all, is the key to the animal kingdom. Such knowledge may also improve the physical and mental health of our pets. To my mind, the well-being of a child, a pet, or a wild animal depends upon the inner health of, respectively, the parents, the family, or the society or culture.
Concerned, then, with relating and relationship, this book is for those of us who have pets and in consequence bear the burden of the responsibility for animals as well as relationship with them.

Without understanding, there can be neither full responsibility nor fulfilling relationship.
