Hello, everyone.

I am a veterinary student in their final year of study at Trakia University, Bulgaria and I am looking forward to spending my mandatory summer internship abroad through the Erasmus+ programme.

In accordance with our university's curriculum, I must spend the months of August and September as an intern, dedicating one month to companion animals and one month to farm animals with horses falling into both categories. This can be done in clinics, hospitals, shelters, universities or other similar establishments in one or two different countries within the European Union.

I am versed in English and a bit of Russian, however, if another language is necessary, I will attempt to learn it as much as possible by the summer's arrival. While there aren't many criteria on my list, I would definitely like to gain experience with horses.

Any and all opinions, recommendations and stories are welcome!

Thank you for your time.

Hello,

I'm currently a final-year veterinary student at Trakia University in Bulgaria, eagerly preparing for my mandatory summer internship abroad through the Erasmus+ programme. As part of our curriculum, I'm required to spend August and September gaining experience in both companion animals and farm animals, with a particular interest in horses, which fall into both categories.

My aim is to immerse myself in veterinary clinics, hospitals, shelters, or universities across one or two EU countries. I'm proficient in English and have a basic understanding of Russian, but I'm open to learning another language if needed before summer arrives.

My passion for equine medicine drives my desire to gain hands-on experience with horses during this internship. I'm keen to learn from established institutions known for their expertise in veterinary care, particularly in countries like Germany, the Netherlands, or France where equine medicine is advanced.

I'm seeking advice, recommendations, and personal stories from those who have undertaken similar internships or have insights into veterinary placements abroad. Your input would greatly assist me in making informed decisions and maximizing my learning experience.

Thank you for any guidance or suggestions you can provide!
