Hello everyone,

My brother just received his DVM and is planning to start his own practice. I will be acting as the receptionist and acting office manager as we expand. Keeping up with the times, we are looking to purchase online communication platform software--software that does things like scheduling appointments, confirming appointments, etc. as well as hopefully reputational and online marketing.

So, from your experience, besides the givens of integrating with your practice management system and the ability to request and confirm appointments online, what are other key value points you would look for in such software (communication and marketing platform)? For instance, is it things like being able to send out emails to patients (and their owners!), being able to track how often people click through your webpage, having an online presence, reviews, etc?

I'm supposed to be determining what software we should buy, and being rather new to the whole field (other than a lifelong animal lover), I was hoping to see what value propositions more experienced vets would be looking for (to be more knowledgeable when I make my purchase).

Thank you in advance for your responses!
