Pit Bull vs Amstaff (Characteristics/Look)

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if you could help me find an article about how to differentiate between APBT and Amstaff.
I mean characteristics. When you look the 2 of them how can you say yes its a pit bull or yes its an amstaff?

I know they are close related and im really having hard time to see which is which

So far i found an article that said Amstaff are the ones that was bred for working and fighting reasons so they are the bigger and more muscling dog,
and then in other article i ve read that American Pit Bull Terriers are the ones bred for working and fighting purpose.
Please help me on this. I want to adopt a dog, but American Pit Bull Terriers are not allow back in my country (Cyprus).

And i want to make sure what i ll get
it will be Amstaff, no doubt, and i have to be able to prove it.

It will be bad if i want to take my dog back in Cyprus and not been able because they will decide that its a APBT.

I wanted to get it from rescue shelder. They told me its Amstaff mix, but i still need to be SURE for this. (its 4 months old)
